Women's Health Care Symposium

The Women's Health Care Symposium is designed to provide women's health care providers with the latest clinically relevant information, enabling them to improve the quality of care for women.

Advanced practice nurses, nurse midwives, clinical nurse managers, physicians and physician assistants will benefit from attendance.

Conference Objectives

  • Analyze current scientific evidence and nationally recognized guidelines in reproductive health screening practices.
  • Evaluate contraception methods and pharmacologic treatment for women of reproductive age.
  • Analyze current scientific evidence and nationally recognized guidelines in the treatment of STDs, genital dermatologic conditions and metabolic syndrome.
  • Implement protocols and communication strategies in the reproductive health setting that are sensitive to the unique needs of the LGBT population.
  • Demonstrate appropriate insertion techniques from intrauterine contraception or pessaries.
