The Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) for Region VII is comprised of Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Disease and Laboratory programs in the four states (Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri). The committee meets at least twice a year to discuss the enhancement and expansion of programs to reduce the prevalence of chlamydial and gonococcal infections, particularly in young women.

The Region VII Infertility Prevention Project Advisory Committee, formed in 1993, was originally called The Chlamydia Control Project. The wider availability of affordable, cost-effective laboratory diagnostic tests for the presence of Chlamydia and Neisseria gonorrehea has allowed further exploration of the broad spectrum of disease caused by these organisms.
