DSI has produced two HIPAA Policies and Procedures Manuals. One is specifically tailored to agencies in MO, KS, NE and IA that receive Title X funding. The other is a generic compliance HIPAA Policies and Procedures Manual.

You may view or search the generic compliance HIPAA Policies and Procedures Manual on line.

In February 2003, the Department of Health and Human Services issued issued the Health Insurance Reform: Security Standards; Final Rule. You may read the Final Rule on line.

You may download the entire manual in MS Word format in order to alter it to your agency's specific needs. To save time, you can select the Open button on the download dialogue box. The file will autodownload and run. Click the Install button on the next dialogue box. The manual will be installed to on your computer to the directory "c:\hipaa_manual".
