HIV Series for Family Planning Clinics

As HIV continues to expand in the general population of the United States Family Planning Clincs are increasingly providing services to clients that need to be treated for or educated on the affects this disease can have on their lives and their reproductive choices. Clinic staff members are increasingly finding themseleves in a position to answer questions about and provide guidance, counseling and health care services for which they need augmented skills. DSI has created a series of HIV specific trainings for your staff members to cope with this emerging situation. These trainings are specifically designed for Family Planning Clinic Staff.

Essential of HIV/AIDS for Family Planning Clinic Staff

Training Conducted Via Teleconference

The goal is to improve the ability of health care professionals to provide accurate, client-centered care to individuals. This teleconference can provide a comprehensive overview for the new family planning professional and a refresher for experienced providers. Family planning professionals and mental health workers will be provided with general overview, description, major modes of transmission, risk behaviors, and risk reduction strategies for HIV/ AIDS. This teleconference can be arranged for one agency or several. Soon, your staff will be able to complete this five module training course on-line. Nursing Continuing Education Units and Certificate of Completion are available for this Course. Fee for CEU is required.

HIV Prevention Counseling in Family Planning Clinics

Training Conducted On-Site

This two-day course is designed for staff that work with clients on HIV risk assessment and reduction. Certificate of Completion is available for this Course.

HIV Patient Flow Analysis in Family Planning Clinics

Training Conducted On-Site

As clinics integrate new HIV services, it is helpful to examine the impact of these new services on patient flow, staffing patterns, and clinic flow. DSI can assist your agency in providing appropriate training for all your staff members in this critical area. Certificate of Completion is available for this Course.
